We provide non-equity grants and early-stage investments into companies reclaiming our right to be well through place, space, and memory.

Place

Capacity-building grants to provide physical spaces to host programming, create and experience art, or practice wellness together.

Space

IRL and virtual initiatives – like run clubs, festivals, and grief circles – that give marginalized communities a space to be well.

Memory

Narrative and art-driven work that helps us remember or reframe our collective understanding of what it means to be well.

To do well, we must be well.

Our Impact Grants are designed to support the work of underestimated leaders making wellness more accessible. We provide unrestricted, non-equity grants of $10,000–$25,000 directly to each leader to use at their discretion.

Our intention is to center the wellbeing of the individual so they are more resourced and rested to support the collective.

Grant Recipients

Teachers. Leaders. Family members. Innovators.

Meet our community redefining what wellbeing looks like for themselves and their communities.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does “underrepresented” mean?

RV believes that the underrepresented in the wellness industry are people who identify as: BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, people of color), LGBTQIA+, have larger bodies (fat or plus-sized), have lower socioeconomic status, living with disabilities, have lived-experience of homelessness, or experiencing gentrification in their neighborhoods and so much more – yet despite it all, are still doing the work for their communities.

It’s important to us that underrepresented people in wellness know that their work is valuable, that their impact is strong and that they are worthy of recognition and rest, if needed. Our intention is to center the wellbeing of the individual so they are more resourced and rested to continue supporting the collective.

If you identify as an underrepresented: founder, non-profit leader, healer/practitioner/teacher, community organizer, entrepreneur and are making wellness accessible, we invite you to submit a request for funding.

We hope to receive requests from people committed to wellness, regardless of your business status, whether you have a fancy website or you have no website at all. Whether you are a community healer who supports 5 people in your neighborhood or a founder of a wellness nonprofit who hasn’t had a day off since the beginning of pandemic.

We’re looking forward to learning more about you!

What does “unrestricted funding” mean?

Unrestricted funding means funding that can be spent on organizational needs (programmatic, operational, or otherwise), or used as a personal stipend (salary, living expenses, paying debt, etc). Our investment is in the health of the leader, and we trust the leader to apply the funding wherever will best fortify their work. This funding is also not a loan or equity investment, so there are no further commitments to Reclamation Ventures once reviewing a COVID-19 relief grant, financially or otherwise.

Are grants only available for U.S. based individuals?

Yes. All applicants must be based in the U.S. and over the age of 18 to be eligible.

Are grants from the RV fund taxable?

We recommend that you check with your tax professional, but the funding is designed to be a non-taxable charitable grant to those with critical financial need.

When will funds be distributed?

Funds will be disbursed within 15 business days following the closing of an application window. Approved applicants will receive an email communication to confirm the distribution timeline. For relief funding, we aim to fast-track this process to ensure swift delivery to respond to immediate financial urgency.
